| Haunted? During the late 18th Century, two devastating fires swept through New Orleans, destroying most of the structures. Situated at the site where the Andrew Jackson now stands was a boy’s boarding school. The school burned to the ground, killing five young boys in the process. Guests sometimes report hearing children playing in the halls, despite the fact that usually, only adults ever stay there. According to one desk clerk, the hauntings usually remain restricted to the second floor hallway and staircase leading down to the first floor lobby. However, there are also reports that ghostly activity occurs on the first floor and in the courtyard cottages in the rear of the main building. |
