Our first meal in New Orleans was at the Chartres House Cafe; we wanted to escape the humidity and find a place to dry off. Chartres House was a nice discovery for us!
A photo of the menu. The meals are cooked in a kitchen that is in another building; the wait staff must carry the food through the courtyard to get to the dining area. The layout sort of called to mind the old Tricou House.
