Muriel's is a ghost tour stop because this back room was used as a holding place for the slave market and apparitions have allegedly been seen here.  According to Haunted History Tours, the restaurant stopped using this area after continuing complaints of spooky phenomena.

Place d'Armes Hotel
Located just a few steps from Muriel's on St. Ann Street, Place d'Armes is an historic hotel named what Jackson Square used to be called.

According to a couple of ghost tours, Place d'Armes has a haunting, though not a scary one.

The ghosts at Place d'Armes allegedly like to play with children's toys ... so, anyone desiring to have a ghostly experience during their stay are advised to bring a long a few toys in their suitcases.
